Jugendstil Museum (from the archives)

This picture I took in August 2004. It’s the Jugendstil Museum in Ålesund.

I remembered the picture because I liked it. I also recalled I published it once, after I photoshoppped it, adding some kind of Lomo effect. I don’t have that edition anymore, but I still have the original.

Anyway, I tried to reproduce it, using the same technique as I did back then. I followed a short tutorial from Kingyo Senbei (via Kottke). Et Voila.

Announcing Kykuit.net

We’re about to start building a new house. We’ve bought a piece of land (the part with the trees on the picture above) and naturally, I bought a domain name to go with it. We decided the house will be named ‘Kykuit’ which is Dutch for ‘view’ (‘utsikt’ på Norsk) and also happens to be name of the Rockefeller Estate in New York.

Hence, Kykuit.net.

The idea is to document the building process on that website, which I hope will be operational in a few weeks from now. I will let you know when it’s up and running.

Sunnmørs-alper

Talking about health-care. This picture I took from the hospital were Mia and Ami are lying. It has been my daily view for more than a month now. It’s not a great picture, but believe me, the views around here in Sunnmøre keep taking my breath away. I just wish I could capture them. Today was probably/ hopefully my last chance on this one for a while.
